Phambile Guest House is situated in Durbanville, in the heart of the northern suburbs of Cape Town, Western Cape.
Phambile Guest House’s host has more than 20 years of culinary experience as a chef in Switzerland and its hostess will give advice on general cosmetic needs and also care for your feet – German and South African medically-certified foot treatments are offered in the home-based practice.
Cape Town International Airport is about 25 kilometres from Phambile Guest House, and a shuttle service to and from the airport is guaranteed.
We also offer guests a car-hire service. The costs involved can be paid directly to the car-hire company or as a prepaid amount into our account.
We speak German and English, and have a working knowledge of French.
Phambile Guest House consists of five fully-furnished units with open lounge and dining room facilities for B&B or self-catering. Half-board is available upon enquiry and by appointment.
The different-sized units comprise one to three rooms, which can each accommodate two to six people. Each unit has a fully equipped kitchenette, TV, fan, heater, safe and bathroom with a shower, toilet and basin. Each unit has a separate entrance. Three units have their own balconies. One unit is wheelchair-friendly. The shower is large enough to accommodate a wheelchair, and the entrance and house can be easily accessed via ramps. A wheelchair and toilet commode can be made available.
Each guest apartment has its own small garden, ideal for relaxing or ‘braaing’ (barbequing).
Our nine-by-four metre swimming pool is perfectly refreshing on hot days. The beautiful garden surrounding it creates a peaceful atmosphere.
Breakfast is served at the main house on the large veranda, overlooking the garden and pool, providing a relaxed start to the day.
Secure parking places are available in front of the house.
Per unit, per day R350, plus per number of persons, depending on the season.
Breakfast per person on request from R50.
Guests staying longer than 14 days will pay a reduced, fixed price as opposed to a daily tariff.
Self-caterers have a weekly cleaning and laundry service included.
B&B guests pay a higher rate but this includes a daily cleaning and laundry service.
Guests’ personal washing and ironing may be done for an additional fee.

Phambile Guest House is a central starting point for popular destinations such as the V&A Waterfront, Grand West Casino, Ratanga Junction and many more, all of which are only 20 to 30 minutes' drive away.
Day excursions or longer trips can also be arranged from Phambile Guest House. These include the various wine routes, the Garden Route, beautiful beaches, and places of interest in the city of Cape Town and its various suburbs, such as Bloubergstrand, Constantia and Hout Bay, and nearby towns, like Franschhoek, Paarl, Wellington and the university town of Stellenbosch. These can be organised, guided trips or self-drive ones.
Meerendal and Altydgedacht, highly recommended wineries that welcome you to taste their wines and enjoy a meal at their restaurants, lie less than five kilometres from Phambile Guest House.
